A successful exhibition starts before you arrive at the venue. Clear product information, a booth that is easy to understand and a simple follow-up process help your team make the most of a halal trade show. This checklist is designed for businesses preparing to meet both consumers and business buyers at Atlantic Halal Expo.
Choose one main goal for your booth
Decide what you want the event to achieve. Your priority might be introducing a new product, meeting retailers, finding distribution contacts or building awareness among local customers. Choose a result your team can recognize and record, such as qualified wholesale conversations or requests for a product catalogue.
Give everyone working at the booth the same short explanation of your business. A useful introduction covers what you offer, who it is for and the next step a visitor can take. Keep the opening brief enough to invite a question.
Confirm your booth package and practical requirements
Atlantic Halal Expo currently advertises two exhibitor options. The Standard Booth is listed at CAD $350 for an 8 × 8 ft space, two exhibitor passes, electricity and Wi-Fi, a directory listing, one table and two chairs. The Corner Booth is listed at CAD $550 for an 8 × 8 ft space with two open sides, four passes, electricity and Wi-Fi, a featured listing, two tables and four chairs.
Check the current exhibitor packages and confirm availability and the final booking details with the organizer. Before arranging a display, ask about setup and removal times, access to the room, power requirements, signage limits and any rules relevant to your products. If you intend to offer food samples, explain that plan in advance and request the applicable requirements.
Prepare information for two audiences
A consumer may want to know how a product is used and where to buy it again. A retailer may need case quantities, wholesale terms and delivery information. Prepare a clear answer for each audience instead of relying on one general sales pitch.
- For consumers: Product descriptions, current prices, ingredient or material information, use instructions and a reliable way to find your business after the event.
- For buyers: Product sheets, pack sizes, minimum orders, lead times, delivery areas and the right account contact.
- For certification questions: Current documentation and a clear explanation of exactly which products it covers.
- For everyone: A working website, readable contact details and a simple next step.
Our halal supplier checklist shows the questions a prepared buyer may bring to your booth.
Make the display easy to approach
Put your business name and a short explanation where a visitor can see them without entering a crowded space. Keep the most useful product information at the front of the display. If you use a QR code, print a readable web address beside it and check both on a phone before the event.
Plan who will greet visitors, answer technical questions and record follow-up requests. Arrange breaks so someone can explain the business throughout your scheduled exhibition time. Keep essential product and contact information available offline in case connectivity is limited.
Use a simple lead-recording process
Record the visitor’s name, business if relevant, contact details, area of interest and the next step you agreed on. Ask how they would like you to follow up. Separate a request for a wholesale quotation from a general conversation so your team can respond appropriately afterwards.
For example, a retailer asking about ten cases per month needs a different response from a visitor who wants your online shop address. A short note about the conversation is more useful than an unexplained email address.
Follow through after the expo
Set aside time after the event to send the information you promised. Refer to the specific product or question discussed, include the relevant document and suggest a next step. Review what visitors asked most often and use those questions to improve your website and future displays.
The 2026 expo takes place on November 6 and 7 at Halifax Tower Hotel & Conference Centre. Use the exhibitor inquiry form to discuss your business and booking requirements. For a wider view of the event’s industry focus, read our guide to the halal marketplace in Atlantic Canada.
